Regular July meeting. Potential topics include:

- KVM with virt-manager
- RHEL 7... what's new
- LiveMedia (installable Live Desktop isos) and OpenVZ OS Template creation for EL7 clones made easy
Any or all of those depending on attendee interest.
Topic: Drupal 8
Discussion Lead: Scott Dowdle
Drupal is a very popular and widely deployed web Content Management Framework / Content Management System (CMF / CMS). MontanaLinux has been on Drupal since 2006. Drupal 8 has been in development for a couple of years now and will be released "when it is done"... which I'm guessing will be in the next 6 months. I have watched a number of presentation videos on what is coming in Drupal 8 and I've set up a testing deployment of it to learn about it. I hope to share what I've learned about Drupal 8.
Regularly scheduled meeting.
Topic: Gary Bummer and Scott Dowdle went to LinuxFest Northwest this past weekend and will talk about it. Scott has some swag to give away.
Topic: GNOME 3 Shell
Presenter: Jakub Gedeon
GNOME 3 Shell came out a couple of years ago and was a radical change from the previous GNOME releases. Since its release it has gone through a number of iterations, adding new features, refining the interface, etc. Jakub has been using GNOME 3 for quite some time and will show us how to get the best out of it.
Topic: Btrfs Update
Discussion Leader: Scott Dowdle
It has been a couple of years since we last talked about Btrfs. Btrfs is in a lot better shape now than it was back then so it is time for an update.
Jeff Sharkey emailed the BozemanLUG list to say he was in town and planned to make the meeting... and that he uses Btrfs.
Here's a Wired article about Ingress, the mobile game that a few LUG members in the state have been playing a lot of.
Regular BozemanLUG meeting for the month of December.
Topic Docker - Docker is "an open-source project to easily create lightweight, portable, self-sufficient containers from any application." Docker was originally targeted at Ubuntu systems but Red Hat has taken an interest in it and sponsored some contributions that make it distribution agnostic.
Some additional topics of discussion include the eminent Fedora 20 release, and advanced x2go usage.
Regular Nov. meeting. For venue info, see: BozemanLUG Meeting Info
OpenVZ Updates by Scott Dowdle
ShellInABox by David Eder
Topic: dwm - dynamic window manager
Discussion Leader: Alan Cleary
DWM is a very efficient, tiling window manager. Alan will discuss why he likes it and show us how to use it.
As you may recall, Chris Ching showed us Awesome window manager a couple of years ago, so we are definitely in need of a tiling window manager refresh.
Topic: Multi-media tools
Discussion Leader: Scott Dowdle
Scott will be discussing the various software tools he uses for doing some common multi-media things like ripping video DVDs, creating video DVDs from a variety of video media file types, converting music files, etc. He has discussed similar topics in the past but has learned about a few newer tools so a refresh is in order.
Topics: WebRTC, VP9 and Opus
While there isn't a formal presentation planned, we'd like to spend some time talking about the disruptive technology that is WebRTC. With recent browser releases, WebRTC is very usable and there are a number of applications currently available with lots more coming.
